On Premise Examinations
Top 15 Candidate qualifying the ARHAT 5 – AERO Online Examination shall be invited to appear for the On-Premise Examinations and Interview at Urvyam R & D Center, Thane.
There shall be Two (2) type of test that each candidate needs to appear following by face-2-face interview. These tests are:
- Proxytress Test
- CFD Lab Test
All candidates shall be given opportunity to sit for all tests and interview and only after all tests are covered any final decision shall be made.
There are two primary objective of this test
A) To verify the qualifying candidate is not a proxy of the person who came on merit at the prelims online exam.
B) And how this candidate is performing under stressed condition.

CFD Lab Test
In this Test, the candidate will be given a Problem Statement with exact specifications that require to be solved through Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The candidate shall be evaluated based on the accuracy of the CFD solutions.
Total Time given = 2 Hours
The candidate is expected to finish this task and provide the solution within this period along with Observed set of data obtained from the CFD Solution.
Find the Pressure and Velocity across the surface of a sub-sonic NACA 2412 Airfoil with given specification:
Angle of Attack = 07 Degree
Chord Length = 15 mm
Air-Speed = 50 m/s
Operating Temperature = 25 ℃
Operating Pressure = 172252 Pa
Reynolds Number = 7.6659E+06
Candidate shall be given the opportunity to use the CFD Software of personal choice. At Urvyam we are using Open-Source Software like FreeCAD, OpenFoam and ParaView for CAD drawing, simulations and Viewing the simulated results respectively. We also use custom made Proprietary In-house Simulation Software which are stand-alone and on-Cloud for all our CFD requirements. Candidate (if prefer) can use our Open Source or Proprietary In-house software at No-cost for giving this test.
Candidate shall also be given the opportunity to bring their Laptop/Tablets with their preferred CFD Software previously installed for giving this test. We highly recommend this option because this saves a lot time as Candidate is completely familiar with the Computer and CFD software.
Urvyam can also provide Company Laptop if Candidate desire so, however there will be no CFD Software pre-installed, and each Candidate needs to first install the software from the available options provided from the Company. At the end of the Test, every Candidate needs to un-install those software and delete any data/information saved in any location within the hard-disk of the given Laptop/Computer.
Face - 2 - Face Interview
The concluding step at end of the day for each Candidate will be the Interview where Candidate shall be given the opportunity to explain their projects/tasks/research done and mentioned in their resume.
The Interviewer will examine Candidate based on following facts:
- Knowledge of the projects/tasks/research shown in resume.
- Demonstrable Interest of the Candidate in doing Research in the field of Aerospace & Aeronautics.
- Depth of the Subject matter done under academic curriculum.
- Approach to Technical Problem statement in arriving proper solutions.
Maximum Allocated Time = 2 Hours
